No Sparing Efforts for commissioning & maintenance of Customers¡¯ Gas Turbine ¨C Nanguang Power Resuming the contract with Chongqing Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. for commissioning & maintenance of Low BTU Gas Turbine |

Considering the needs of economizing energies and protecting environment, Chongqing Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., based on their actual manufacturing situations, purchased an MS6001B-L Low BTU gas turbine from Nanjing Turbine & Electric Machinery (Group) Co., Ltd., for power generation through Blast Furnace Gas, and finally realizing gas-steam combined cycle.
In charge of installing and experimenting the unit, Nanguang Power started the project in July 2006, and by Feb. 9, 2007, a 72-hour trial operation was completed, and then the unit group was put into normal commercial running. In order to assure the steady running of the unit, Chongqing Iron & Steal (Group) entrusted our company to safeguard normal running for the unit. Accordingly, we dispatched there a safeguarding team, composed of technical and running operation staff, who were in charge of routine running and maintenance; at the same time, our team also trained customer¡¯s maintenance staff, theoretically and operationally. Through our training, the customer¡¯s maintenance staffs became proficient in routine running and maintenance. During our work of unit commissioning & maintenance, our staff spared no efforts to deal with varied failures occurring in unit running in time, which ensured steady and normal running, contributing to economic efficiency and benefits for our customer. In Aug. 2007, our team achieved a successful fulfillment of the project of commissioning & maintenance.
Deeply trusted by customer due to our team¡¯s outstanding work, our company was awarded with the renewal of the contract on unit commissioning & maintenance for one more year with Chongqing Iron & Steel (Group) in Sep. 2007.
So far the unit has been safely running for almost 8,000 hours, and the gas turbine has generated more than 240 million kilowatts of electricity while the steam turbine generated more than 140 million kilowatts. And early 2008, the snow catastrophy brought severe absence of electricity to enterprises. However, under the bilateral efforts of our customer and our team, the steady running of the power generation unit of Chongqing Iron & Steel (Group) was ensured, which actually leads to the normal production of Chongqing Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd..
